Safar (سفر) means journey in Arabic. We chose that name because this product is a journey — to bring every visa & travel agency in South Asia and the Gulf into the digital age.
In early 2024, our founder was helping a close friend who ran a manpower & visa agency in Sylhet. The agency handled hundreds of files every month — Saudi Arabia work visas, Oman permits, Qatar manpower contracts — all managed through a tangle of Excel sheets, WhatsApp messages, and physical folders stacked ceiling-high.
Passports went missing. Clients called five times asking the same question: “কী অবস্থা?” (What's the status?) Payments went untracked. Agreements were retyped from scratch every week. The agency owner worked 14-hour days and still felt like he was drowning.
The founder — a software engineer with a decade of product experience — looked at this chaos and thought: “Every other industry has modern software. Why are agencies that move thousands of people every year still running on paper?”
Six months of research, 40+ agency interviews, and one obsessive build sprint later — Safar by Dream It was born.

Built Safar from the ground up with real operators as design partners. Supabase-powered, AI-enhanced, and battle-tested with live agency data long before the first public release.
Safar launched publicly. Within months, 200+ agencies across Bangladesh, KSA, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain were running their full operations on the platform.
The idea was born in Sylhet — the heartbeat of Bangladesh's overseas labour migration. Today our headquarters is in Doha, Qatar, putting us at the center of the GCC market we serve.
